Tsunami Warning

So there is a Tsunami Warning for all of Hawai'i. Kevin and I live in upcountry so we are away from the coast. We are safe up here, but will keep everyone updated on the conditions in Maui.

*side note: crazy surf story. our landlords good friend is flying to hilo right now to try to surf the tsunami.

Sunday Picnic!

On Sunday, Kevin and I went on a picnic above the lavendar fields. This place has breath taking views. You can see both sides of the island from where we were. While we were up there I also had the opportunity to do some photographing. So once I ship my film out to be processed and get my scanner out here I will post some of those photos!

Valentine's Day in Paradise!

Kevin and I were lucky enough for our friends Leslie and Greg to invite is out on the Valentine's Day Sunset Cruise. Greg is the captain of the boat so they hooked us up. It was so much fun, we saw lots of whales, had good food and listened to some pretty rockin music. (the man had a keytar!)

Kevin and I occassionally layout on this beach, have a few beers and wave good bye to all the people heading home from their vacation. Next time one of our families are in town we are going to stand on this beach with a huge sign... haha.

Canoe Club = Awesomeness

So we had our first practice at the Hawaiian Canoe Club and we are loving it! I don't know about Kevin but I am a little bit sore. You definitely use muscles that you don't normally use. Your first year paddling you have to start off on Novice B and then you move up each year. So that is the group we are in and the other people in our level are super cool. Too bad the season didn't start when we first got here, it would have made a huge difference in our social life. Anways I am super excited and it sounds like we joined a good club. Novice B won state last year, so hopefully we can keep the streak alive!

Canoe Club!

So after a great weekend of Stand Up Paddling and Super Bowl fun, it is back to work. Also, tonight is our first night of practice for the canoe club. I have no idea what to expect, but I am super excited to start. Both Kevin and I joined, so I will let you know how we liked it after our first practice!
